Who We Are
Our website address is https://eunjun.com/. This is a do-it-yourself blog where we share projects, tips and guides. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We do not ask you to create an account to read the blog. The information we collect comes from the following sources:
- Comments you choose to leave
- Standard technical data your browser sends automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited
- Cookies placed by us and by third-party services (explained below)
Comments
When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public next to your comment.
Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so that we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Media
If you upload images to this website, please avoid images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download images from the site and extract any location data they contain.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies, so you don’t have to fill in your details again next time. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we set up several cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days and screen option cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login lasts two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. It contains no personal data and only stores the ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.
Advertising and Google AdSense
This website uses Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to show ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting https://www.aboutads.info.
Where required by law, such as in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we ask for your consent before using advertising cookies.
Analytics
We may use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site, for example which articles are popular. These tools collect information like pages viewed, time spent and approximate location. The data is used in aggregate to improve the blog.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images or other articles. Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that website directly.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:
- Service providers that help us run the site, such as hosting, spam filtering and analytics
- Advertising partners such as Google, as described above
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
Third-Party Links
Our articles may link to other websites, including stores and tutorials. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
How Long We Retain Your Data
Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely, as described above. For users who register on the site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their profile. All users can see, edit or delete their personal information at any time, except for their username. Site administrators can also see and edit that information.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including anything you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
To make a request, please contact us through the Contact page on this website.
Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Data processed by our advertising and analytics partners may be transferred to and stored in countries outside your own, including the United States.
Children’s Privacy
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
